Presence and Absence 

    This photography series speaks about the presence in one's culture and then absence. What happens to the culture when people are forced to immigrate and be displaced from one's home? What would be left within one's culture? I portray the Palestinian woman in the first photograph; fully present and submerged with the Cultural pattern becoming part of it whereas the second photograph is with the absence of the Palestinian female from her culture. The pattern becomes a commercialized element of a culture but in reality it is left isolated and abandoned,  almost as if the culture reference became in a solitary prison.
